Knol-Wikipedia Like Service by Google
Posted by wersp at 6:11 PM Friday, December 28, 2007Basically, this is a knowledge base – where experts write up articles and users have a chance to benefit from the wisdom. The system is currently under an invitation-only status.
With huge amounts of content across the web, it's often hard to find the quality stuff. Even if you go to places like Wikipedia, it's not easy to get a sense of the accuracy. Often, We use these sources as a starting point – not something that's definitive.
As expected, Google wants knols for all topics, which is certainly ambitious and will likely encounter problems along the way. But, it's certainly a worthy goal – and, in the end, could result in a valuable property.
More importantly, Google will share revenues with the experts (through advertising). This will certainly be a big differentiator, as other wikis, such as Wikinvest and Wikipedia, rely on authors who do it for fun.1 comments

Internet Download Manager v5.12 Incl Crack
Posted by wersp at 9:22 AM Saturday, December 22, 2007Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to increase download speeds by up to 500 percent, resume and schedule downloads.
Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. Simple graphic user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use.
Internet Download Manager has a smart download logic accelerator that features intelligent dynamic file segmentation and safe multipart downloading technology to accelerate your downloads.
During the download process Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically, unlike other download accelerators and managers that segment files before the download starts Internet Download Manager reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve better acceleration performance.
Internet Download Manager supports proxy servers, ftp and http protocols, firewalls, redirects, cookies, directories with authorization, MP3 audio and MPEG video content processing, and a large number of directory listing formats.
IDM integrates seamlessly into Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, MSN Explorer, AOL, Opera, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Firebird, Avant Browser, MyIE2, and all other popular browsers to automatically handle your downloads.
You can also drag and drop files, or use Internet Download Manager from command line. Internet Download Manager can dial your modem at the set time, download the files you want, then hang up or even shut down your computer when it's done.
Other features
include multilingual support, zip preview, download categories, built-in download accelerator, scheduler pro, sounds on events, HTTPS support, queue processor, pipelining of ftp commands, html help and tutorial, enhanced virus protection on download completion, progressive downloading with quotas (useful for connections that use some kind of fair access policy or FAP like Direcway, Direct PC, Hughes, etc.), command line parameters, and many others.

Greatest philanthropist
Posted by wersp at 3:46 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2007Here are some very interesting aspects of his life:
- He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late!
- He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.
- He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in mid-town Omaha , that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.
- He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him.
- He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company.
- His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis. He has given his CEO's only two rules.Rule number 1: do not lose any of your share holder's money.Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1.
- He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch Television.
- Bill Gates, the world's richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.
- Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.
"Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself and Remember:
A. Money doesn't create man but it is the man who created money.
B. Live your life as simple as you are.
C. Don't do what others say, just listen them, but do what you feel good.
D. Don't go on brand name; just wear those things in which u feel comfortable.
E. Don't waste your money on unnecessary things; just spend on them who really in need rather.
F. After all it's your life then why give chance to others to rule our life."

Whats Ur PageRank...
Posted by wersp at 4:48 PM Monday, December 17, 2007The scale for PageRank is logarithmic like the Richter Scale and roughly based upon quantity of inbound links as well as importance of the page providing the link.Google assigns a numeric weighting from 0-10 for each webpage on the Internet; this PageRank denotes your site’s importance in the eyes of Google.It is a probability distribution used to represent the likelihood that a person randomly clicking on links will arrive at any particular page. A probability is expressed as a numeric value between 0 and 1,a 0.5 probability is commonly expressed as a "50% chance" of something happening. Hence, a PageRank of 0.5 means there is a 50% chance that a person clicking on a random link will be directed to the document with the 0.5 PageRank.
In the general case, the PageRank value for any page 'u' can be expressed as:
i.e. the PageRank value for a page 'u' is dependent on the PageRank values for each page 'v' out of the set Bu (this set contains all pages linking to page u), divided by the number L(v) of links from page 'v'.Google recalculates PageRank scores each time it crawls the Web and rebuilds its index,as Google increases the number of documents in its collection, the initial approximation of PageRank decreases for all documents.
Listed below are sites said to have the highest page rank 10.
Adobe.com - Adobe Systems, software company. In addition, several dozen pages on this domain are PR10.
Apache.org - Apache Software Foundation, open-source software
Apple.com - Apple Computer
Cisco.com - Cisco Systems
CSAIL - MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory
Energy.gov - United States Department of Energy
ERCIM.org - European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics
Google.com - Google, search engine that assigns PageRank
Keio.ac.jp - Keio University, Tokyo, Japan
IBM.com - International Business Machines, computer technology corporation
Macromedia.com - Macromedia, software company
Microsoft.com - Microsoft Corporation, computer software company
MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology
NASA.gov - NASA, U.S. government agency for the space program and aerospace research
NSF.gov - National Science Foundation, U.S. government agency for scientific research
Real.com - RealPlayer, music, video, games
StatCounter.com - tracking service
W3.org - World Wide Web Consortium
Whitehouse.gov - The White House
The main disadvantage is that it favors older pages, because a new page, even a very good one, will not have many links unless it is part of an existing site.

Chennai,the Champions
Posted by wersp at 10:18 PM Sunday, December 16, 2007It was today the final held between Chennai Superstars and Chandigarh Lions.Batting first after losing the toss, the Chennai Superstars made 155/8 in their stipulated 20 overs, largely due to useful contributions from their two Aussie imports -- opener Ian Harvey making 36 off 31 balls and captain Stuart Law making 34 off 28 balls.Daryl Tuffey was the most successful bowler for the Chandigarh Lions with figures of 2/32.In reply, the Chandigarh Lions could muster only 143/8.Tejinder Pal Singh top scored with 35 off 33 balls while South African all-rounder Andrew Hall [Images] was left unbeaten at 30 off 27 balls.
Pakistan seamer Shabbir Ahmed impressed with the ball for the Superstars with figures of 4/23 with a Hat-Trick was announced the Player of the Match.Ian Harvey with his all around performance both with bat n ball through out the series was announced the Player of the Tournament.
I was very much excited of my Chennai Superstars winning this Tournament and i convey my hearty congrats to them.They deserve every bit of it.

Interesting Ants
Posted by wersp at 1:10 PM- The legs of the ant are very strong so they can run very quickly. If a man could run as fast for his size as an ant can,he could run as fast as a racehorse.
- Ants can lift 20 times their own body weight.
- The ant has two eyes, each eye is made of many smaller eyes.They are called compound eyes.
- The abdomen of the ant contains two stomachs. One stomach holds the food for itself and second stomach is for food to be shared with other ants.
- Like all insects, the outside of their body is covered with a hard armour this is called the exoskeleton. Ants have four distinct growing stages, the egg, larva, pupa and the adult.
- Each ant colony has at least one or more queens and all other ants are workers.Like the queen(s), all worker ants are female.Males, whose only job is to mate with young ant queens, live in the colony nest only at certain times. After mating, a male soon dies.
- The job of the queen is to lay eggs which the worker ants look after. Worker ants are sterile, they look for food, look after the young, and defend the nest from unwanted visitors.
- Ants are clean and tidy insects. Some worker ants are given the job of taking the rubbish from the nest and putting it outside in a special rubbish dump!
- If a worker ant has found a good source for food,it leaves a trail of scent so that the other ants in the colony can find the food.
- Each colony of ants has its own smell. In this way,they easily recognize intruders and if they find any foreign ants in their colony,they will attack them straight away.
- The Slave-Maker Ant raids the nests of other ants and steals their pupae. When these new ants hatch,they work as slaves within the colony.
- At night the worker ants move the eggs and larvae deep into the nest to protect them from the cold. During the daytime, the worker ants move the eggs and larvae of the colony to the top of the nest so that they can be warmer.

Why its clockwise always...
Posted by wersp at 2:35 PM Saturday, December 15, 2007The working of Sundial is based on the rotation of the earth around the sun.As the earth turns on its axis, the sun appears to move across our sky. The shadows cast by the sun move in a clockwise (hence the definition of clockwise) direction for objects in the northern hemisphere.
If the same clock is used in southern hemisphere(Eg.Australia),the shadows cast by the sun move in a anti clockwise direction.Since the first clock was designed in Egypt which lies in northern hemisphere,every clock designed later followed the same clockwise rule.Simple as that;)

Love Thy Nation
Posted by wersp at 3:30 PM Friday, December 14, 2007We have always felt that to work in a foreign country is something prestigious, the alien lands seem greener and rich. Many are ready to lose any pride and honor they have to just work abroad. The poor for a living and the educated elite to simply boast that they made shit in a foreign loo, and also because some third cousin’s wife’s brother is there its very important that they should also go foreign. But still among these literate idiots we still have some sane men who prefer to find glory in our country.
Dr Sharan Patil was born on 13th April 1965 in Raichur district of Karnataka. In 1979, he moved to Bangalore and attended the premedical school training at the prestigious MES College Bangalore. Sharan completed his medical school with an academic distinction from MR Medical College Gulbarga; His post-graduate education was at Kasturba Medical College Manipal. He was awarded D.Othro in 1990 followed by the MS Ortho in 1991 with a Gold medal.
In 1992, Sharan moved to the UK for further training. He worked in some of the premier teaching institutions in the North West of England, including the Alder Hey's Children's Hospital - one of the largest pediatric hospitals in Europe.The other renowned organisations where he gained valuable experience were Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Hope Hospital, Manchester and Warrington District General Hospital.In December 1995, Sharan was bestowed with the coveted degree of Mch Orth from Liverpool University, making him the youngest graduate to be accorded this honour since the course began in 1926.
With such a high profile and a promising career in Europe and US Dr.Sharan returned home to India to give his knowledge to his countrymen. On returning he joined the premier Institute of Manipal Hospital in Bangalore as their youngest consultant. Whilst working with this organization, he single-handedly performed over 5000 major complex surgical this earned him the impeccable reputation of delivering high quality orthopedic care to those who could afford his expertise. Not content with this he decided to go further and give quality service to the masses and thus came sparsh hospital. Under his stewardship and within the short time span of 16 months, over 2000 major surgeries have been performed on the lower-middle and middle class strata of society.
It is this very same hospital and doctor who along with 30 other specialist made an operation on the eight limbed girl lakshmi and helped her return to normal life like a normal child. In lakshmi’s village they consider her as a goddess, but for the child and her parents Dr.Sharan is god-like and a thousand others who want to go and settle abroad, a slap on the face.

The Most Beautiful Black Man Alive
Posted by wersp at 9:04 PM Tuesday, December 11, 2007Well, in the professional opinion of “Access Hollywood’s” newest entertainment program, “TV One Access,” anyway!
During its premiere, which aired last night, the hosts of “TV One Access,” Shaun Robinson and Jamal Munnerlyn, took their viewers through a countdown of the top 10 sexiest black stars. The selection of actors and singers were picked not only for their steller physiques, but also for the gracious way they conduct themselves in their day-to-day lives.
“It certainly wasn’t easy selecting this handful of men out of the millions of beautiful brothers out there,” Monique Chenault, senior producer of “TV One Access” said, “but someone had to do it.”
“American Gangster” thug and two-time Oscar winner Denzel Washington was named the second Most Beautiful Black Man, followed by wrestler-turned-“The Game Plan”-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Austrian-born “Madea’s Family Renunion” actor Boris Kodjoe took fourth place, followed by Hollywood hotshot Will Smith in the No. 5 spot.
Washington’s “American Gangster” rival, English actor Idris Elba, came in at No. 6 while “Dirty Sexy Money” honey Blair Underwood was voted the seventh “Most Beautiful Black Man.”
Rounding off the list in eighth place was “Private Practice” actor Taye Diggs, rapper L.L. Cool J in ninth and finally, “Crimnal Minds” actor Shemar Moore, who landed in the No. 10 spot.

Creativity is your Capital
Posted by wersp at 9:05 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2007Starting a new business is no longer a costly affair; all you need is zeal to excel backed by a unique idea. A new trend has begun in the industry where unconventional methods and out of the box concepts are bringing in huge bucks home. Its pretty simple, see a need fill the need, you have to just figure out what others need and how to match it your skills. This simple thought made Sandeep Gajakas a 28 yr old entrepreneur to start India’s first shoe laundry service.
Seeing many people moving around with costly but dirty sneakers he felt this might just workout. Current methods were not satisfactory and people were not interested in spoiling their hi-tech beauties, so armed with the right knowledge of chemicals and cleaning methods he started out with shoe cleaning service in Mumbai with 7000rs. Now his company shoe laundry is having a turnover of 1.5 lakh a month. In the initial stages sandeep was the single working member of his enterprise, as he din trust another person with the job.Now he has hired people to help grow the business.
Another interesting venture is E-States international by Sachin Dhanwala and Sundip Joshy, its job is to find office space for companies and also take care of all paper work involved in it. These are just one among the many services that you could turn to into a bustling new industry. Wedding planners, Concierge services, Online ads, Housekeeping for offices and hotels, Food delivery, Verification services are some of the other fields which could also be started with a less capital.
The most important factor in these ventures is the end product quality, these people made it big not just with good concepts but also by providing value to customers. You should also possess the special knowledge it requires, good networking and marketing skills along with the mastery of nuances of the field interested. It all comes to just one point to shine as an entrepreneur all you need is a bright idea.

where are you hiding baby....
Posted by wersp at 7:51 AM Thursday, November 29, 2007My mom was pregant around 7-8 mnths and was carrying my sister.Now usually she would bathe me and leave me to play with the water for sometime.And so that day too the same thing happened she left me and went inside.After playing for sometime i decided to trick her and hide somewhere.Here comes my brilliance,we had slabs put in our store room and beneath it was a huge wooden box and on either sides of the box there articles.I went to one side of the box and hid behind the gas cylinder he he he... it was so full that noone could have guessed me there.
When i dint come inside my mom came to chk in the bathroom and as it was empty she guessed immediately that i must hiding somewere and started to search everywere. Under the sofa,bed,kitchen,everywere and couldnt find me(told ya na it was absolutely perfect).she thought that i might have ran outside and so asked my neighbours to search outside.They went searching the whole quarters and couldnt find me.When they said this my mom was so scared, and she started to cry badly calling to all gods and praying to save me.i felt sad seeing her cry so came out of the hiding and imagine what would have happened to me i was smacked like anything(ouch it hurts).i would still tease her saying how i could go out of house without her noticing it and why she searched the whole neighbourhood.she would reply that i was so naughty that i can manage with anything.oh please dont flatter me now...;-)
Would like to hear all your mischeifs too guys

Its snow time
Posted by wersp at 4:44 PM Tuesday, November 27, 2007To create a snowfall we first create the effect with photoshop and then jump in to imageready for the animation part.
1.Open the image u wanna apply snow in photoshop. I ve selected this Christmas image
2.Create a new layer
Layer-> newlayer.
4.Using brush tool of a small size draw snow over the picture careful not to smudge into each other.Then with the free transform tool pull the layer down.
5.Then select layer-> duplicate layer, a copy of the present layer will be created. Now using the same tool pull the layer copy upwards.
6.Select layer->merge down now both the created layers will be merged as one.
7.Now once the layers have been merged.Select the jump to imageready option in the tool box.And the edited image will be opened in imageready, were we will be creating the animation part.
8. Here you will notice that in the animation palette a single frame containing the image will be created. Now select the small arrow on the top right corner of the palette and from the menu that displays select new frame.
9. In the new created frame select the layer and using the transform tool pull the layer slightly down.
10. Then again select the arrow in the palette, this time choose tween and give fifteen as the number of frames.Select file-> save optimized as… that’s it your done and your snow is ready to fall

Goodbye office ;-)
Posted by wersp at 8:18 PM Saturday, November 17, 2007How nice it would be if we don’t have to wake up early and rush amidst the hectic traffic to the office. It’s the new trend that’s catching up now, which is not going late to office or bunking it altogether no no no. Its virtual assistance the new way to earn right from your home, it is a professional service of remote administrative office by an independent contractor called a virtual assistant(VA) who works with clients in an ongoing, collaborative professional relationship.
Its pretty simple, all you have to do is get yourself a PC and broadband connection then make your skill a service available to the needy. You can provide administrative services, answer fitness queries, help students with their homework; the choice depends on the skill you possess. The huge benefit of this is you can decide the working hours and arrange it according to your convenience, not to mention escaping your grumpy boss and taking holidays as long as you wish.
To start off the single-most important qualification to become a virtual assistant is at least five years administrative experience earned in the real (non-virtual) business world working in occupations such as administrative assistant, executive assistant, secretary, legal assistant, paralegal, legal secretary, real estate assistant, office manager, etc.From this level of experience, a VA is expected to possess the superior skill sets, training and business knowledge which are the hallmark of a truly qualified virtual assistant. You can also register into VA organizations and business directories which will put you through prospective clients.
A VA can earn upto 400-500 per hr or even more based on his recognition and qualification. There are about 8000-10000 VAs in the world, in India the number is small but its steadily growing since the services are cheaper than abroad.Though its all enticing to hear some facts are also to be considered, by becoming a VA he will be losing the status of an employee which provides job security, pension, and health concessions on job. But still many professionals are turning into virtual assistants for the convenience it provides and the ease of work and independence.
Lets all hope for a new work experience….

Hi-speed Fight at Night !!!
Posted by wersp at 6:57 PM Friday, November 16, 2007Formula one's first night race will be held in Singapore in 2008 after the 18-Grand Prix calender was already confirmed by the sport's governing body.The city will host the Sept. 28 event,which it hopes will draw 80,000 spectators and generate S$100 million($68 million) in tourism spending.
Singapore has teamed up with Italy-based Valerio Maioli S.p.a,which specializes in the engineering of lighting and telecommunication system.Lighting plays an important part in the race and the company said it will use lights to guide the drivers.The entire track will be fitted with close to 1,500 projectors,placed 4 meters apart.This makes it almost four times brighter than an average sports stadium.But the brightness will not be too glaring for the drivers.This is because the projectors will be erected 10 meters above the course.The power surge will not result in any power outage or blackout,thanks to 12-twined power generators.The light will be brought to Singapore in early January to be tested in a controlled environment.
Contractors will then take approximately two to three months to set up the system,so the lighting system will likely be up in the second quarter of 2008."It's never happened before,so its very exciting for the world,and everybody's waiting for this night race.For instance, there are 400 reporters going for each grand prix.For Singapore,probably 600 are coming,almost double in number,because of the interest,"said Colin Syn,President of Singapore Grand Prix.
No wonder we are about to see a real "NFS Underground" live next year on 28th September.

Blessing or Curse
Posted by wersp at 2:25 PM Thursday, November 15, 2007A banglorean and IT employee vijayakumar first suffered from numbness then pain; ultimately he stopped driving his car and couldn’t lift his kids. Similar situation happened with nitin, he is a long runner and could lift 40-pound barbell , but cant switch to second gear and had to stay at home for two to three months, all this because of computer.
Computer related injuries(CRI) are at large now and many fail to see their significance and end up in trouble. Our bodies can endure a certain amount of repetitive stress and bad posture before the nerves begin to come apart. The reason why it’s so alarming is how acute the injuries can be. While most repetitive stress can be fixed, the risk of relapse is permanent and could lead to lifelong damage and pain.
The most significant of it all is the RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury).RSI is a multifactor complaints syndrome affecting the neck, upper back, and shoulder, upper and lowers arm, elbow, wrist or hand, or a combination of these areas, which leads either to impairment or to participation problems. Diagnosis of RSI is entirely based on a skilled musculoskeletal examination by an expert, and no "special" tests including MRI scans or nerve conduction studies can reliably diagnose it.
A few things to remember while sitting before a computer
- Keep your wrist unsupported while typing. Do not use gel pads as wrist-rests.
- Sit with your back supported against the chair’s backrest, and with thighs sloping down slightly so that your hips are higher than your knees
- If your boss won’t do it for you, invest in an ergonomically sound office chair: ideally, one with a head-rest and lumbar support. The seat-height, and the angle between seat and chair back should be adjustable.
- If you feel a CRI coming, address it early. Learn preventive stretches from a CRI expert.
- Make sure a light source or window is not directly reflecting off your screen—for instance, by building a simple shade out of file folders.
- Blink regularly or use a solution to keep your eyes lubricated; running a humidifier in an air-conditioned office can also help avoid dry-eye symptoms.
- It is better to have your head angled down to your screen than up—having to look up at a screen reduces blink-rates.
- Follow the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, focus on an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
- Laptops are an inherently un-ergonomic device as the screen and the keyboard are attached. When using a laptop at home or office, use an external keyboard and mouse, and a laptop stand to prop the screen to eye level. Ideally your keyboard and laptop should be placed just above the level of your lap, with your elbow at an angle of 100 degrees
- Consult an expert before using any medication targeting CRIs.

Posted by wersp at 7:20 PM Wednesday, November 14, 2007The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch for men features an 18K gold case and bracelet. The Royal Oak watch has automatic movement. Price: $24,800, though some Royal Oaks are priced as high as $599,400.
The Blancpain Tourbillon Rattrapante Chronograph watch (model 218-9F1-3427-0001) features automatic winding and comes in a limited series of 99 pieces. The casing and band are platinum. The face features a white dial with white Roman numerals and a window to view the tourbillon escapement. The retail price is $132,000.
The Franck Muller Curvex Tourbillon Imperiale Watch (model L133368) features an 18K gold case and a bracelet buckle. The blue tourbillon dial has luminous numbers. With manually-wound mechanical movement and a hand-stitched blue leather strap this lists at $87,663.
The Datograph by Lange watch (model 403.035) is another highly coveted Lange & Söhne series. This model is in platinum, with Calibre L951.1 movement. It also features a manually wound chronograph, with flyback, and precise jumping minute counter, under a sapphire-crystal glass and caseback. This lists for $49,600.
The Patek Philippe Grand Complications Mens Watch (model 5036/1J) comes in an 18K yellow gold case and bracelet. It features day, month, moon phase and power reserve indicator sub dials. It has a see-through sapphire crystal back with self-winding automatic movement. This limited production series model has a list price of $34,200.
Looks great to admire but u must have hit upon a huge fortune to own them. The interesting fact is that their price tag doesnt stop them from being purchased,the swiss watch exports enjoyed a sustained growth in 2006 with demand remaining stronger for luxury products and even in September 2007 the value of Swiss watch exports amounted to 1.327 billion francs.Really there are must be a whole bunch of millionaires out there who could afford them, but there are a lot more ways to spend it worthwhile instead of just owning a fancy metal piece.With more the money,responsiblities should also increase,we can also share it with the less fortunate than throw it away in unimportant trivials.Luxury is not a necessity,its all in our minds to choose the right thing.

Microsoft Officially Opens @live.com Email Registration
Posted by wersp at 10:23 PM Saturday, November 10, 2007Microsoft should have opened registration to the @live.com acronym when the company first started Windows Live, but nonetheless this is a welcome change. The company now gives users a change and the ability to get away from the old “Hotmail” acronym and finally puts their email service in-line with the rest of the Windows Live Suite.

Learning for learning’s sake
Posted by wersp at 9:02 PM Friday, November 9, 2007Our sincerity still takes over us in the morning, we get up pretty late run around and make a big fuss and somehow make it to the bus stop. Even while traveling we wont give a glance through the notes, stay cool and enjoy the not so good scenery outside. On arriving inside the classroom we catch hold of someone who managed to study and ask him to give some hints for each question, reach the exam hall and develop the hints walk of marginally clearing the test. This enthusiasm and reverence will be repeated for all the tests and also the university exam. God only knows how we ended up as first class graduates.
This is all fun to hear and read but, if we contemplate over our achievements we will realize we truly are not worthy of it. Education must be something above all grades and certificates. It must ensure we acquire the knowledge imparted by each subject and not just marks. This can happen only if we decide not to simply study the facts but learn their nuances and try to put it to practice. There is no use in simply saying I was born intelligent education ruined me, because no one can ruin anyone unless we let them to.

I Love You!!!
Posted by wersp at 5:29 PMSir: So,shall we start??
we: nooooooo(usual chorus)
Sir: ok(big smile this time),then tell me what is the word or sentence you guys want to know in french ??
we: blah blah....(as usual, i am sure nothing reached him)
Sir: Though you all come up with different words n sentences now ,as you leave the class you ll feel that you missed to ask about this sentence...(he took the chalk n wrote something on board),this is that sentence "I love you"...so note it down..
we: (grinned, and recorded the sentence "Je t'aime" in our mind)
It was an awesome first class that i couldnt ever forget in my life.How true it is,he just gave away what we needed.He very well read our mind as he too had once went past the student age.I wish every teacher to be like him(not to teach that sentence in different languages) but to read the students mind and act accordingly.
Here is my simple effort to let u all know "I love you" in different languages...
Je t'aime(French):D
Ich liebe Dich(Germen)
Ti amo(Italian)
Eu te amo(Portuguese)
Te quiero(Spanish)U should ve known this if u r an Enrique fan(Bailamos song).
Ik houd van u(Dutch)
It ll be helpful for me and many others if you can translate this in other more languages known to you.Au revoir.

am feeling sleepy
Posted by wersp at 12:02 PM Tuesday, November 6, 2007In REM, the brain is active and the body inactive, and this is when most dreaming occurs During REM sleep there is loss of skeletal muscle tone, and an active sympathetic nervous system. Also during REM sleep our muscles are paralyzed so that we don't act out our dreams. In NREM sleep, the body is active and the brain is inactive, and there is relatively little dreaming. Non-REM encompasses four stages; stages 1 and 2 are considered 'light sleep', and 3 and 4 'deep sleep'. They are differentiated slence, or "drowsy sleep".Sleep is a dynamic time of healing and growth for organisms. For example, during stages 3 and 4, or slow-wave sleep, growth hormone levels increase, and immune function changes.
Well the interesting stuff is sleep is considered to be related to learning, funny isn’t it how many times have we all been smacked for sleeping now check this out, Many studies demonstrate that a healthy sleep produces a significant learning dependent performance boost. Healthy sleep must include the appropriate sequence and proportion of NREM and REM phases, which play a different role in memory consolidation-optimization process. A study has also found that after sleep there is an increased insight, that is, a sudden gain of explicit knowledge. Thus during sleep the representation of new memories are restructured. Sleep has been directly linked to the grades of students, results have shown that those who sleep less do poorly.
The National Sleep Foundation maintains that eight to nine hours of sleep for adult humans is optimal and that sufficient sleep benefits alertness, memory and problem solving, and overall health, as well as reducing the risk of accidents.A widely publicized 2003 study performed at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine demonstrated that cognitive performance declines with fewer than eight hours of sleep.now dats y i sleep so much ;-)
Generally, lack of sleep may result in
aching muscles;
blurred vision;
Cardiovascular disease;
clinical depression;
colorblindness;
daytime drowsiness and naps;
decreased mental activity and concentration;
depersonalization/derealization;
weakened immune system;
dizziness;
dark circles under the eyes;
fainting;
general confusion;
hallucinations;
hand tremors;
headache;
hernia;
hyperactivity;
hypertension;
impatience;
irritability;
Lucid dreaming (once sleep resumes);
memory lapses or loss;
nausea;
nystagmus (rapid involuntary rhythmic eye movement);
psychosis;
pallor;
slowed reaction time;
slurred and/or nonsensical speech;
weight loss or gain;
severe yawning;
symptoms similar to:
Attention deficit Hyperactivity Disorder;
Alcoholic Intoxication.
sleep deprivation severely affects the human body's ability to metabolize glucose, which can lead to early-stage Diabetes.Sleep deprivation can adversely affect brain function, it also suppresses growth hormone,also obesity
If u wanna stay healthy just sleep off,sweet dreams
